|Tendril Press and the Environment |
At Tendril Press, we recognize the critical nature of environmental issues and take extensive precautions to protect our natural resources. There is a growing and widespread awareness of the magnitude of the environmental challenges that we face locally, regionally, nationally, and globally. The threat of escalating energy costs, water restrictions, raw material shortages, polluted air and water, species extinction, and global warming looms larger than ever.
At Tendril Press, we recognize our responsibility to be good Environmental Stewards. At the onset of every project we focus our team to improve our sourcing of environmentally friendly raw materials and elevate our operations performance in an effort to reduce our carbon footprint.
Many of our Printers are FSC Certified and have received the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) chain-of-custody certification from the SmartWood Program of the Rainforest Alliance.
By committing our book printing to FSC chain-of-custody certified printers, Tendril Press is able to address the growing customer need and desire to use certified paper and pulp based materials. FSC certification is one of the many ways Tendril Press is showing its commitment to environmental issues by being able to produce books that are FSC chain-of-custody certified.
