Patrick Smyth was born and raised in South Africa. As a young soldier in the South African army, he had the dubious privilege of meeting several members of the animal kingdom up close and face-to-face, but his encounters with elephants were his greatest source of inspiration and awe.
Patrick relocated to the US in 1981 and has led re-branding efforts and served as a senior marketing and business executive with several Fortune 500 companies including AT&T, Tandem Computers, Compaq Computers, Ceridian, and
Patrick continues to use his skills as a “leadership navigator,” working with dozens of CEOs in small, high growth businesses. His highly-acclaimed workshop helps people overcome their fears and self-limiting beliefs. Patrick is passionate about helping people be successful in their endeavors. In his own words, “I don’t believe I have a right to step on someone’s dream. Instead, I feel a duty to help them succeed.”
He is a recognized speaker, author of many articles on leadership and an instructor and mentor at CEO Space Forum.
Patrick resides with his wife and teenaged son in a small town near Nashville TN. He enjoys gardening, puzzles, golf and bass fishing when he has time.
